My name is Rachel and I’m an Equine and Pet Artist dedicated to capturing beloved animals and immortalizing them in a moment to treasure forever.
I live with my husband and two gorgeous children in beautiful Yorkshire. We are a family of animal lovers. My husband is a farrier, my daughter has a lovely Shetland pony, and I myself have horses too. I’ve never met an animal I didn’t like.
I pride myself on capturing an animal’s character on paper, along with expression and movement and always ensure they are anatomically correct.
Art has always been my passion, although it took some years to find my niche. After completing my A Levels, I went on to Leeds College of Art and Design and gained a diploma with Merit, specialising in Fashion. I then went on to University where I gained a 2:1 degree in Fashion Design, with Manufacture, Marketing and Promotion.
Many years after graduating and working my way up in non-art related industry, I finally began drawing again in 2018 and after building up my portfolio I decided to make my passion my business, formally opening Rachel Armstrong Equestrian Art in January 2019.
